NEWBORN PHOTOSHOOT
Our newborn photoshoots are suitable from day 1. You will be invited to my studio in Caterham for a relaxed and personal experience. I have a range of accessories and props which we can use to make beautiful photographs. These allow you to have complete control over the colour scheme and general style of the images. I of course can give suggestions to make this process fun for everyone. We can try a mixture of different styles within the 2 hours, so don't be afraid to mix it up while you are with me.
My studio is based within my family home. I am proud of what I have been able to build and develop over the years. This in regards to both my studio, the props I have and my experience. If you have a certain colour scheme you would like us to use, please message me and I can make sure the accessories I have in this style are ready for us to use.
By having 2 hours for the photoshoot it gives us plenty of time to get those beautiful photos. There is no need for us to rush, so there is a relaxed feel to the session. With my Dyson heater I am able to set the temperature to keep even the tiniest of toes nice and warm. Babies will mainly be in their nappy so temperature of the studio is vital. With my wraps and swaddle blankets I am able to wrap them up warm and keep them calm. If your baby is not sleepy during the session then this is not a problem at all, it just means we will get some awake photos of them. The younger they are the more of a chance they will sleep during majority of the session, so please keep this in mind if this is the style of photos you are looking for.
I am more then happy for you to bring items for images to me. If you have seen a style which you like, then we can try and create something similar. Please note I will not copy other artists work, but we can have a discussion about how we can make beautiful images in styles which you like.
I encourage my clients to bring personal and sentimental objects with them to be included in some photographs. Ranging from their first teddy to a piece of jewellery from a loved one who is no longer here. This is great to make the images personal to you and can be gifted to a loving family member.
Before the session you will select a colour scheme for us to use. A selection of outfits and accessories will be laid out so you can see some examples of what we can use. From there I will begin getting your baby ready for images, and start with the first setup. You can then go through all of my props and outfits to see what else you would like us to use. This can either be in the same theme or can be something completely different.
Within the 2 hours we will try to use as many setups as possible. However this is all dependant on how many times we need to stop for feeds and cuddles. Between 2-3 outfits is normal, so it’s the perfect amount of changes to try a variety of colours and styles.
Photos above show the various styles used within one session. All images look great together so perfect to use in a collage or picture frame.
We can dedicate time to take some photos of siblings with the new baby. Once they have had their photos they are welcome to stay and watch the rest of the session. Please note we do need a calm environment to take images, and if you think it is best then there are multiple parks in walking distance from the studio. And they can come back just before the session finishes.
